"Hey! Don't just flip past this page because you're grossed out by the gay couple. I found this picture on Google Images and thought it was sweet. Oooh, the horror! What is wrong with gay? NOTHING. Love is beautiful in all forms. So yeah, I'm a chic drawing two guys making out. Get the hell over your stupid, conformist, close-minded ways and appreciate the drawing. 'Cause I think it looks pretty."
I wrote that 'cause as this drawing was still in progress, people looking through my sketchbook would flip past this page really fast or make a face of disgust. And it pissed me off. So this drawing, which started out as my own self indulgent eye candy, has turned into my Gay Rights Act.
EDIT 7/29/12: Thanks to all the people already commenting/faving, I'm gonna do a really cute lesbian drawing to go with this. Maybe I'll even do a series of LGBTQ Rights drawings.
EDIT 7/31/12: Oh my gosh, guys, 100 favorites?! Really?! Dude, that is record for me! Thank you SO MUCH. Love all of you.
Cute~ You know what? It makes me smile to know that there are people who are willing to stand up for others, even if they're not straight. Seriously, society is so stupid, I'm scared to tell my parents that I'm bisexual...
I totally get your situation. It was so hard to tell my parents that I'm bisexual, although it turned out that they had already guessed so. And they're alright about it, but I can tell they don't totally get it. And my dad still cracks gay jokes. He's not even serious when he's joking about that, but still, it pisses me off that people even joke about it for fun. And it's just not funny. Society is indeed fucked up.
I don't like it when people in my class joke about gay stuff too... I always butt into their conversation saying "It's OK to be gay!!" and they shut up after that
